Larry thanks for talking to eurobasket.com again. Congrats on helping team international beat team national. How did you experience the whole allstar day? Where would you rank this day in your professional basketball career so far?

It was a good day full of fun and excitement. It was fun interacting with the other players and coming together to put on a show for the fans. This was experience was probably ranks 2nd after making the playoffs.

The fans were able to meet their basketball stars at the autograph session. Did you ever write so many autographes at one time in your life and if you had to could you repeat it for another 30 straight days?

It wasn’t that bad, it’s was fun!

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops A tough 80-73 loss against MBC. Did MBC put some kind of basketball repellent on the Pheonix Hagen rims, because three point shots weren´t falling? I guess if you shoot 1/16 from outside, it will be pretty much be hard to beat any team.

Yea I agree you can’t best any team shooting the way we shot from behind the arc. The worst thing about it was we were in our gym, where most of the time you are suppose to shoot good.

I can imagine head coach Ingo Freyer wasn´t happy about the only six assists. Is the lack of creating in this game reason for concern or was it more the MBC defense that caused havoc for the Phoenix Hagen offense?

It’s tough because of our style of play is designed for us to score at a high volume, so there is no real pressure for our guards to create for others because their roles are to score.

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops again. Phoenix Hagen lost last weekend 105-95 to ratiopharm Ulm. Another typical high scoring Phoenix Hagen game, but ratiopharm Ulm was able to score even more points. What were the main reasons this time for Phoenix Hagen not being able to get the win?

We just were not lucky this time around, Ulm played very good.

What was your overall impression of ratiopharm Ulm. How much different of a club are they now without John Bryant? It seems that they still have many good rebounders to compensate the loss.

They still are solid, have good players that play well. One player doesn’t define a team, so they are doing quite well with out him.

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops. How is Christmas in Germany different than in Austria and Holland?

I went home on Christmas, but in Holland the holiday spirit is about the same as in the countries I been to, really festive.

Congrats on being named to the 2014 Beko BBL allstar team. How excited are you about being named as a reserve? It shows that head coach Tyrone Mccoy has appreciated your play.

Im real excited, came a long way in my career. It’s a real honor to get picked by the coach, I really appreciate it.

Thanks Larry for talking to German Hoops again. A tough 95-78 loss last weekend to the Walter Tigers Tuebingen at home. What was the most important lesson that Phoenix Hagen learned after the game? Possibly that a game isn´t over until the siren sounds at 40 minutes?

You can underestimate any team in this league no matter what their current situation is. This is too strong for that.

After watching film of that game, how can one explain giving up 38 points in the last quarter. Was Tuebingen just hitting everything, or was Phoenix Hagen for once exhausted or did point guard Bane Ratkovica really perform godly like basketball deeds on the court?

We played horrible and they executed and played great in the last quarter.

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops again. Congrats on the 98-78 win against the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. How good did it feel to get a win against one of the top teams in the league?

It felt good to get this Win after a disappointing loss last week against Frankfurt, it’s always a good feeling to Win against a Top team

You didn’t have a good shooting night and finished with nine points, but was the top assist man with four. How much pride do you take in having the ability to create for others?

It’s always been in my game but people only notice when it shows up on the stat sheet, I create a lot good looks for my teammates and that’s what makes me an effective combo guard in this league.

Thanks Larry for talking to German Hoops. A tough 82-79 loss in Frankfurt. What hurt more at the end, having used all that energy and losing or all that heart in the comeback and losing?

A little bit if both, but in basketball you Win some in you lose some in comeback situations

When you look back at the last minute, Phoenix Hagen did much right getting the ball back, causing turnovers and fouls, but just weren´t able to hit the needed shots. Is there anything else that the team could have done differently that might have turned the game into another direction?

The only thing we could of did better is not wait until the last minute to turn it up.

Larry congrats on the 85-80 win at home against the Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg. Early in the season you beat Bayreuth and Vechta in crunch time and recently lost to Bremerhaven in crunch time, but won the last two games against TBB Trier and Ludwigsburg in crunch time. Are the nerves of Phoenix Hagen now after two months at the end of games in an area that you are content with?

Yea I think we are finally understanding as a team that no matter if we are down 10 or up 10 during the end of a game, if we stay focused and concentrated and play our basketball, we are always in a position to Win.

Can you understand why people are all nervous that without point guard Henry Dugat the offense wont be able to function. Do people forget the ability that a Mark Dorris brings to the court?

I really don’t we have a lot of other capable players on our team, as well as 4 players who have played this style last year. Losing one player doesn’t stop how we play.

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops again. A big 88-82 win in Trier where it is never easy to win. How important was it getting this huge road win on the road snapping the four game losing streak?

It was huge, we needed to get this Win and try to get some momentum back for the season

In that four game losing streak, Phoenix Hagen averaged giving up 98 points per game. Is it sometimes that a team just loses focus in a certain area of the game mentally or was mechanics on the court mainly the problem on defense in that four game stretch?

Yea lately we have been struggling getting stops when we need them, but with our fast pace offense things happen throughout the game.

Congrats on the 80-78 win against SC Rasta Vechta. Was this just  another proof how difficult the Beko BBL is with the newcomer giving 2013 Beko BBL playoff team Phoenix Hagen a real run for the money?

I guess you can say so, they did a good job at slowing us down a little bit and were stronger than people think. They will Win some games this season.

Your three pointer wasn´t falling so you concentrated more on the glass. How important is your versatility this season concerning the success of Phoenix Hagen?

My versatility is one of my strong suits in my game, so when something is not working I just do what is and let everything else take care if itself.
