Larry thanks for talking to eurobasket.com again. Congrats on helping team international beat team national. How did you experience the whole allstar day? Where would you rank this day in your professional basketball career so far?
It was a good day full of fun and excitement. It was fun interacting with the other players and coming together to put on a show for the fans. This was experience was probably ranks 2nd after making the playoffs.
The fans were able to meet their basketball stars at the autograph session. Did you ever write so many autographes at one time in your life and if you had to could you repeat it for another 30 straight days?
It wasn’t that bad, it’s was fun!
What is your opinion on the Beko BBL bringing in a professional dunker the last two years that also won it. Do you think that this showtime from the professional dunker takes away a bit from the dunking spotlight of the professional basketball players taking part?
I really don’t like it but if it helps put on a show than it is what it is. It does take away the spotlight from the players in the league who are very capable dunkers.
How much of an honor was it for you to be the only player representing Phoenix Hagen? What was your sweetest moment on the court during the Beko BBL allstar game?
It was good, my teammates, coaches and club really supported me I just wanted to play good and put on a show. Sweetest moment was just bring on the court, the whole experience was great.
You got to get a close look at team national and many of the young players. If you could choose one young German player where you think could make the big breakthrough who would you pick?
The next game is against the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig. How much do you still remember from that 105-101 loss at home?
It was a close game, and a game we have up at the end,
Isaiah Swann hit Phoenix Hagen for 20 points in that loss and you saw a shooting clinic from him in Bonn last weekend. How vital will it be slowing him up?
Very! He is the spark plug for their team and if he gets going, the whole team gets going. Something we can’t let happen especially at their place.
SC Rasta Vechta guard Richie Williams stated that his best basketball is yet to come in the second half. You had a great first half fifth in scoring and first in rebounding but is the best basketball from Larry Gordon still going to come in the second half of the season?
I’ve been playing my best basketball the whole season so far, all there is to do now is to exceed what I already accomplished!
What was the last DVD movie that you saw?
Prison Break (TV Show)
Thanks Larry fort he chat.
