He spoke to German Hoops before the game against the Artland Dragons.

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops. How is Christmas in Germany different than in Austria and Holland?

I went home on Christmas, but in Holland the holiday spirit is about the same as in the countries I been to, really festive.

Congrats on being named to the 2014 Beko BBL allstar team. How excited are you about being named as a reserve? It shows that head coach Tyrone Mccoy has appreciated your play.

Im real excited, came a long way in my career. It’s a real honor to get picked by the coach, I really appreciate it.

In the last game before Christmas, Phoenix Hagen lost a shoot out in Bamberg 104-93. Phoenix Hagen is usually the team that gets the best out of shoot outs. Bamberg shot very well. What was key for Bamberg getting the win at the end?

They play well as a team and the executed well down the stretch. And they were bigger than us, we didn’t have Keith who is a big part of our defensive success

Bamberg might not have won without the services of Elias Harris. What was your first impression of the German who played two NBA games for the Los Angeles Lakers?

He was alright, strong, really physical and skilled

Does Harris have the game for a return to the NBA or do you think his game is better suited for Europe?

I would say more of Europe

The next game for Phoenix Hagen is against the Artland Dragons. Artland has a 10-4 record and have beat Bamberg and Alba Berlin and have won seven games by not more than five points difference and three games by one point only. What kind of game can we await?

It’s going to be tough battle, we are a good team that came up short on a few games, but we fight and we play hard.

Artland has a very deep roster and you could be matched up with American Brandon Thomas. He has had the same kind of route you have in that he played in lower leagues like Denmark and Austria before coming to Germany in 2009 and has been a house hold name. Could you see yourself staying in Germany for many years the way he has?

Of course I can see myself staying in Germany, as long as I get the opportunities I don’t see why not

On December 21st is always the anniversary of when basketball was invented by James Naismith. What has been the most important thing in basketball over the last 122 years that you will always remember?

The fact that it is one the top team sports played worldwide. Basketball is a great sport!

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

Thanks Larry for the chat.
