Thanks Larry for talking to German Hoops again. A tough 95-78 loss last weekend to the Walter Tigers Tuebingen at home. What was the most important lesson that Phoenix Hagen learned after the game? Possibly that a game isn´t over until the siren sounds at 40 minutes?

You can underestimate any team in this league no matter what their current situation is. This is too strong for that.

After watching film of that game, how can one explain giving up 38 points in the last quarter. Was Tuebingen just hitting everything, or was Phoenix Hagen for once exhausted or did point guard Bane Ratkovica really perform godly like basketball deeds on the court?

We played horrible and they executed and played great in the last quarter.

You had played against Johannes Lischka last season and remembered his game. He was back on the floor after having surgery a month ago for a tumour in his head. How did he look on the floor basketball wise and how do you credit his will and effort to come back after something like that?

He wasn’t really a factor, but I take my hat off to him to want to get back so quick to help his team. He is a soldier!

Despite your strong double double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, you had five turnovers. Is that the good thing about being a basketball professional in that one is never bored going into practice because there is always something to work on in the lab?

I mean you can’t really work on turnovers, it’s more of being strong and concentrating in the things I can control.

The pre Christmas game is against the Brose Baskets Bamberg. Phoenix Hagen gave them a hard fought series last season. If you look back at that series, what are some things you would have done differently to get two wins more?

Nothing I could have changed personally, I think I had a solid series against them. As a team we could have fought harder against them especially after the situation in Game 3

The Brose Baskets are in second place with a record of 10-3, but at times seem vulnerable. What has been your impression of them this year at what kind of game can we await in Bamberg this time around?

I think they are still a great team, but they do look a little out sync at times and not as strong as last year, but it’s always tough to play in Bamberg.

What impresses you most about Casey Jacobsen as a player with each new season where he is one year older? His work ethnic seems never to change?

I mean he is consistent, he is a great shooter and plays well around handoffs and pick and roll and knows how to play well with his teams. Very smart player, age is just a number if your body and mind feel good, then age is no factor

With Christmas around the corner, what is something that you really want for Christmas?

I really just want to go home and be with my family!

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

Oz The Great and Powerful.

Thanks Larry for the chat.
