He spoke to German Hoops before the game against the Walter Tigers Tuebingen.
Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops again. Congrats on the 98-78 win against the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. How good did it feel to get a win against one of the top teams in the league?
It felt good to get this Win after a disappointing loss last week against Frankfurt, it’s always a good feeling to Win against a Top team
You didn’t have a good shooting night and finished with nine points, but was the top assist man with four. How much pride do you take in having the ability to create for others?
It’s always been in my game but people only notice when it shows up on the stat sheet, I create a lot good looks for my teammates and that’s what makes me an effective combo guard in this league.
Henry Dugat had a good game with 11 points in 14 minutes, but Nikita Khartchenkov was the unsung hero award with 19 points. He seems to becoming more and more a very important player from the bench. Everyone usually talks about his shooting, but how else does he help the team best?
He helps with the fact that people knows he is a shooter so they don’t help much off of him making it more spread out on the floor, easier to penetrate or post
The next game is against the Walter Tigers Tuebingen who are struggling very much at the moment. They need a win very badly. Is this just another game where Phoenix Hagen wants to focus more on themselves in preparation before getting too worried about what the status of a Tuebingen is and not to underestimate them bla bla?
Know underestimation from us, we know how this league is built and we go into each game with the same mind set. This is a very important game for us and a must Win
How did you follow the news of German Johannes Lischka who had a tumor removed from his head? He might be able to play again? He really has been missed in Tuebingen and really sparks the team on the court.
Heard about it once but haven’t been up on the news recently, but I wish him all the best.
You might be faced up against American Alex Harris who is always good for a good game. What do you remember from your matchups last season when he played for Bremerhaven?
Alex is a tough competitor, capable of having a break out game at anytime but like I said last week I love the challenge
What do you like most about the Christmas time in Germany?
The Christmas Markets
What was the last DVD movie that you saw?
