FC Bayern Munich 2 Escape Rhondorf With 78-70 Victory

For six years German Viktor Frankl-Maus paradedin the Dragons Rhondorf back court and was the identity figure and heart andsoul of the team. The way he played the game and left his heart on the floorfor the Dragons, one had the feeling that he could never leave the club andbecome a Dragons lifer that would always give his all in the Dragon Dome forthe home court fan. But last summer he decided on taking on a new challenge andjoining Germany´s most famous sports club FC Bayern Munich and to be honest whocould blame him. It was a once in a lifetime chance to play for such arespected organization and later on tell his grand children stories of how hewas mingling with people like football legend Uli Hoeness or top player ThomasMuller or a Robert Lewondowski. Fans in Rhondorf not only will never forget hiseffort on the court, but the brilliant 2014-2015 Pro B season where the Germanled the club into the Pro A. Fans also won´t forget his beautiful feeds to topplayers like Aaron Nelson or Kameron Taylor in the last two seasons. The timehad to come where Frankl-Maus would return to his old stomping ground in theDragon Dome as he led the fifth ranked FC Bayern Munich who had a record of 5-2against his ex team Dragons Rhondorf who were resting in tenth place with adisappointing 2-6 record. It was a game where there was little differencebetween the two even though the standings told a different story. A basketballgame has 40 minutes, but the Dragons played only 37 minutes as they allowed FCBayern Munich to break out on a 10-0 run at the end to decide the game. Afterthe game ex Dragons Rhondorf guard Viktor Frankl-Maus was all smiles as he hadhelped lead his new team to a win over his ex team. “I was very happy to behere. It is one of the highlights for me this season. I was happy we got thewin and was very happy how much the fans cheered for me. It tells me that Ileft a lasting impression here. We had problems rebounding, but overall playedwell at both ends of the court. We didn´t play perfect and made mistakes, butwhen it counted most, we stuck together”, warned FC Bayern Munich guard ViktorFrankl-Maus. After the bitter loss Dragons Rhondorf center Zygimantas Riaukatold it like it was, but was still pleased with the club´s effort. “Theyoutrebounded us which is unacceptable. It came down to us missing some layups. Wemissed a couple of bunnies. I am happy how we played as a team. Everybody wasfighting. Earlier in the season we would have gave up. We are a young team, butcan´t make anymore excuses. We have some big games coming up and need to produce if we want to make the playoffs”, warned Zygimantas Riauka.

Aaron Nelson Gets Revenge Powering The Dragons Rhondorf Past FC Bayern Munich II 87-63

That Aaron Nelson of the Dragons Rhondorf is the Big Dawg of the German Pro B and can clean up on the boards the way a Russell Westbrook has been hauling down rebounds and collecting dimes this season as if he wanted to give Lebron James a good run for the best in the NBA is no secret, but the Illinois native Nelson isn´t double double perfect this season, a part of his game that belongs to his bread and butter. In the last years not just registering double double´s in games has been a constant, but also averaging that stat for a whole season has been a regular occurrence as he demonstrated at South Indiana(NCAA2) and as a rookie in Chile and so far this season he is averaging 23 points a game and 13 boards. He has said in the past that he is only content with a team win and double double, so when he is stopped from getting that double double, he surely does notice as much as a hawk does his next prey. This season, he has been denied a double double only three times and what is even harder to believe is that the second worst rebounding team in the league FC Bayern Munich held him to only 5 rebounds earlier this season in a 77-66 victory as the Dragons Rhondorf were outrebounded 37 to 26 and hauled down 10 offensive rebounds. Just how long Aaron Nelson had to digest this loss and disappointing team showing on the boards is unknown, but one thing is for sure Nelson didn´t forget that game and wanted to have revenge on the first loss to FC Bayern Munich and finally stop this annoying 5 game losing streak and finally win at home again as the team´s three game home losing streak was getting on every one´s nerves in Dragons country. The 12th of the Pro B south Dragons Rhondorf who were sporting a poor 4-8 record met the sixth of the standings FC Bayern Munich who had a 7-5 record and fans saw a tight hard fought affair with both teams at even eye level, but in the second half, the Dragons Rhondorf had a monstrous 31-11 run that FC Bayern Munich 2 couldn´t rebound from as the Bayern team got hammered 87-63 getting a rude Christmas present. After the huge victory, a very ecstatic Aaron Nelson had witnessed another normal day at the office and made amends for the first loss in Munich. “I remember every game and didn´t forget our loss in Munich. That was a tough loss and we had been without Viktor Frankl-Maus. I went into this game like every other game wanting to leave everything on the court, play good defense and attack them on offense and even wipe the floor if needed. I knew it would be  a tough game at the start as my three wasn´t falling, but I knew it would be ok after my inside game was working and my teammates always found me”, stressed Illinois native Aaron Nelson. After the game, one may have thought that a torn and tattered FC Bayern Munich team that has an average age of 18,5 years fled quickly to their bus and get away as fast as possible, but instead were slowly slouching out of the dressing room one by one with their heads down and hidden under their hoodies as they must have received the most penetrating and hard post-game speech of their lives from head coach Oliver Kostic. 19 year big German talent Karim Jallow wasn´t in great spirits, but tried to explain the downfall of his team as best as possible. “I thought we defended well and played with a lot of energy in the first half. But in the second half, we let them get some quick easy baskets and couldn´t get anymore stops. We only had 10 players and got into foul trouble. We didn´t play as aggressively on defense anymore and our offense was too wild”, added FC Bayern Munich forward Karim Jallow.

Georg Beyschlag Powers FC Bayern Munich 2 Past The Fraport Skyliners Juniors 64-59

One of the main attractions in any German football city is when the big mighty FC Bayern Munich comes to town and for years and years and years the Red was always in Niederrad a close hop over the Main river playing 45 times against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga since 1965, but since 2011 a second FC Bayern Munich has crossed over into Frankfurt to Hoechst as the basketball department finally was back in the first league and has been battling the Fraport Skyliners for years with the Bavarian team getting the last laugh on most occasions. However this season a third FC Bayern Munich club will make their first appearance to Frankfurt with their farm team as they came to the Nordwest center where the Fraport Skyliners Juniors have their home residence to duel on a rare Friday evening. Even if an Uli Hoeness had some how gotten lost or by mistake made his way into the smug BCM gym or assistant coach Demond Greene had let some of his contacts go to work and urged some of his old German national team teammates to watch the game, the main title of this game could only be one “Kids”. The Pro B is obviously a league that develops many young players, but very rarely do you see two teams like the Fraport Skyliners Juniors and FC Bayern Munich 2 sprout so much youthfulness as if the fountain youth was situated in the corner of the arena as both clubs have an average age of 18 years on their respective rosters. Another amazing thing about this clash of the youth was that neither team had an American import which is very rare, but FC Bayern Munich 2 did have enough support from other European countries to help improve their respectable 4-1 record while the Fraport Skyliners Juniors were reeling a bit trying to get back on the winning track boasting a tiresome 2-4 record having lost four of their last five games. The game was a tale of two halves as the Fraport Skyliners Juniors controlled the first half, but let the game slip away as FC Bayern Munich 2 roared back in the second half getting special energy from Karim Jallow and Georg Beyschlag defeating the Fraport Skyliners Juniors 64-59. After the fifth loss of the season, there was no discouragement from team elder statesman with 24 years German Tim Oldenburg who was back from an injury and was hopeful for the future of the young team. “It felt good to be back. It is all still a bit slow, but all is good. We have a very young team, but have Travis Thompson back and I feel that we still have the same quality from last season so all is good”, smiled Tim Oldenburg. The Fraport Skyliners Juniors continue to have massive problems executing and hitting balls and their 26 turnovers defined an ever growing problem with taking care of the ball. “It didn´t matter what we did today, we couldn´t hit shots. We let them play their game in the third quarter in which they got easy baskets off our turnovers. Munich is a young team and it can be hard to get out of the hole, but we let them way too easily”, stressed Tim Oldenburg. FC Bayern Munich 2 like Frankfurt had a horrible offense game, but stepped it up on the defensive end a tic more than Frankfurt. “We had no rhythm on offense missing easy lay ups, free throws and having too many turnovers. We won this game with good defense”, stressed assistant coach Demond Greene.
