Miles Schmidt-Scheuber and Kam Taylor in Rhondorf in 2017

How was the last week of training in Bamberg? How was the team looking after the long lay off? What things were good and not so good?

We actually have been looking really good in the last week of practice. Everyone’s conditioning is up and we were able to play a lot of 5 on 5. I guess the only bad part is that we weren’t able to play vs other teams to get a feel for other teams.

How were the first 24 hours in Munich? How are the hotel accomodations and what has been most pleasant of the situation so far?

I haven’t stayed a full 24 hours just yet but the best thing is having your own room.

Is it a positive or a negative to be playing your first game on the fourth day against Alba Berlin which will be playing their second game?

I think its the best thing because we get to see where we are against one of the favorites in the tournament. With fresh as legs as well.

There has been a lot of drama the last weeks in Bamberg concerning management and the club. How confident are you that the players are totally focused 100% on the tournament?

We are 100% focused and excited to play. We are trying to do something special with this tournament. So I have only been focusing on what we want to do in the tournament.

You lost a tough 4 point contest to Alba Berlin and then got pounded by 37 points. Alba Berlin is for many a favorite. Have you guys learned from the 2 loses and what will have to be better this time to be successful?

We have to be focused and locked in a full 40 minutes. We know Berlin is a very quality team and it’s going to take full focus and effort to get a win.

Funniest teammate experience so far in Munich?

You are going to have to ask me in a couple days because we just got here lol

With what non Bamberg player have you had the first real meaningful experience with in Munich?

I haven’t really met anybody here from the other team. But shoutout to Per Gunther He has my full respect for acknowledging what’s happening in the states.

How cool has it been being teammates with Jordan Crawford? What have you soaked up from him and is there something you asked him about his NBA days that you just had to know?

Jordan been great, he’s the ultimate scorer, with a lot of experience. So I really like guarding him every day because if I can guard him then it’s not too many people that can go like him.

Who wins a one on one in practice this season you or Paris Lee?

No one is beating me in one on one.

Thanks Kam for the chat.
