He spoke to German Hoops a few hours before the 2012 Beko BBL Allstar game.

You are playing your second Beko BBL Allstar game. What has been your impression of the festivities in Ludwigsburg?

I have been impressed. It is well organized and the arena is pretty new and the fan base is very good here.

What are your memories of the 2007 Beko BBL Allstar game in Cologne?

That was held in a big arena and I remember that we had a good group of guys with Ricky Paulding, Julius Jenkins and Patrick Femmerling. I remember that we beat the south pretty badly. It was a great experience.

The 2012 Beko BBL format went back to team national-team international. What is your impression of this format?

I like this format and I think its good. I think the fans will see a competitive game, but not trying to injure any one on the floor.

Does Germany have any chance of winning?

I can´t say that they wont have any chance of winning. I am sure the fans will see a very competitive game.

Who will win the three point shooting contest?

Ricky Paulding.

Who will win the slam dunk contest?

Marcus Slaughter. He had a pretty good dunk against us.

Oldenburg was handled as one of those teams that could annoy Bamberg and Alba Berlin this season, but why has the team been up and down?

I think that we have phases where we lose concentration. When things aren´t going well for us, we tend to get down on ourselves. We have to learn to understand that we won´t hit every shot or get a stop each possession. We have to start to gel and just be focused and composed for 40 minutes.

Who has been the most improved Oldenburg player in the first half of the season?

Ronnie Burrell brings it in each game and Adam Chubb.

Who was your NBA idol as a kid?

Michael Jordan as a kid. Baron Davis was also a role model for me and like a big brother.

What was your nicest memory at Cal State Fullerton?

Being the school´s alltime leading scorer and getting to the Top 16 of the NIT.

How tough is it going back to the O2 arena and not having a place like that in 2006-2007 when you played in the Max Schmeling arena?

I was a bit jealous seeing how big and nice the O2 arena is and how crazy loud it gets there. The locker rooms are also very nice. But the Max Schmeiling arena was also nice, could get loud and had great fan support. I would say I have a 50/50 feeling about the two places.

Who was the best player that you played against in the NCAA that is in the NBA now?

Jordan Farmer and Aaron Affalo.

You played in the NBA for two seasons. I expect your plan is to return?

Yes that is my plan. I will finish the season with Oldenburg and then see what happens. I want to play for a team where I am happy and that really want me.

What were the most free throws that you made in a practice in a row?

What was your most crazy shot that you made in a game?

I made a shot from the other free throw line in high school.

Who will win Patriots-Ravens?
