Dashaun Wood Shows A Combination Of Bryant/Wade Leading The Deutsche Bank Skyliners Past BG Goettingen 76-67 For 2-0 Playoff Lead

It is always an advantage if you are able to do those things that you are used to doing as opposed to what you aren´t like strutting your beamer through the neighborhood instead of a broken down Ford Nova, New England Patriot star quarterback Tom Brady being able to riffle bullet passes to his favorite Texas tech target Wes Welker running routes or Hollywood actor George Clooney picking up women in swank clubs on the Cote D Azur instead of in third rate clubs in Boise, Idaho, but sometimes reality doesn´t let you do what you know and like. BG Goettingen have been playing in their beloved Lok Halle since 2007 and have had a lot of success playing in their locomotive turned basketball arena in the last years, but were struck with playing game 2 in the 40 kilometer away Kassel in the Rothenbach halle. Not being able to play in their usual home court train dungeon for opponents where the atmosphere is as fierce as any opponent getting the full work out treatment competiting against the American in his prime, It girl Paris Hilton having to wake up to After 8 mints in a Marriot hotel instead of a Hilton, Immanuel Mcelroy having to play in the old Max Schmeiling halle instead of the O-2 World arena, or Boston Redosx slugger David Ortiz having to blast moon rockets out of Nickerson field over the Charles river to Harvard instead of out of Fenway park. Despite many fans coming from Goettingen to support the team in Kassel and a strong atmosphere through out the game, BG Goettingen was unable to knot the series as they lost 76-67 to The Deutsche Bank Skyliners and trail the best of five quarterfinal series 2-0. “The atmosphere here compared to the Lokhalle is hard to compare. The Lokhalle is one of a kind. The atmosphere was very good though. Our fans supported us well”, stressed ex ratiopharm Ulm guard Kyle Bailey. “I thought the atmosphere was teh same a sin Goettingen. The crowd really got on you under the basket”, added Skyliner MVP Dashaun Wood. “The atmosphere was great. The only difference was that it was the same floor and baskets, but just another arena. Our fans supported us 100%”, commented BG Goettingen American Antoine Jordan. “The atmosphere was the same as in Goettingen. It wasn´t easy to play here. We showed a lot of moral and kept our cool despite the intense conditions”, expressed Skyliner sport director Kamil Novak. Marius Nolte friend Steven Esterkamp watched the game and was impressed by the atmosphere. “It was amazing to in the arena and witness this atmosphere”, added ex Paderborn Basket Steven Esterkamp. “This was a nice arena, but the atmosphere was not the same as in the Lokhalle. The Lokhalle is unique. I thought BG Goettinegn was a bit like a stranger in this arena”, stressed Marius Nolte.

Jimmy Mckinney Hits From Downtown St Louis In Crunch Time As The Deutsche Bank Skyliners Secure Game 1 With A 77-58 Win

Timely lady luck, having a four leaf clover land mysteriously on the bench, getting a couple of timely loose balls, hitting 12713 three pointers or hitting 90% of your free throws is fortune that belongs to the game of basketball sometimes, but BG Goettingen didn´t seem to bring any of this good luck in their baggage to Frankfurt as the team was without American Trent Meacham who had an elbow injury and the club had given the walking papers to American Mike Scott 72 hours earlier. BG Goettingen were unable to allow too much to really wrong as they met the second best team in the beko BBL and had to be a lot more focused than the Spurs and Magic as they had been upset in the NBA playoffs not being able to come back down from 3-1, the way future NBA MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls who took care of business in game five dismantling the Indiana Pacers 116-89, or Face the Nation legend Bob Schieffer telling the world in a very direct way that Donald Trump is a racist, but The Deutsche Bank Skyliners took matters in their own hands in the fourth quarter ending the game with a 20-3 run and winning game 1 in the Ballsporthalle 77-58. “It is always hard against Goettingen. We have played them three times and each time it came down to the last minutes. We have have the home court advantage and have to win our games at home to advance. It will be difficult to win series and lose at home and steal a game on the road”, warned MVP Dashaun Wood. Even though Frankfurt won by 19 points, the score didn´t indicate how close the game really was. “The game could of gone either way at the end. We had a run at end which was key. We are happy, but can´t lean back on this win”, stressed Skyliner center Marius Nolte. “BG Goettingen players looked worn out as they exited the locker room after the game as it wasn´t Wood that beat them with baskets, but other players. “This was a very hard fought game for 36 minutes. The Mckinney three pointer hurt us which was the turning point for them to go on their 20-3 run at the end”, expressed Alaska native Kyle Bailey.
Even though BG Goettingen was without Trenton Meacham and Mike Scott, they didn´t seem to be effected by their absence at all as they held their own never allowing The Deutsche Bank Skyliners to run away with the game early. “Of course, it is tough to play without Meacham and Scott, but these are the playoffs and there can be no excuses. You have to focus on what you have and not on what you don´t have”, added Kyle Bailey. For The Deutsche Bank Skyliners, they didn´t even know that BG Goettingen was shorthanded. “Who was missing from BG Goettingen wasn´t important for us. Coach Herbert mentioned it during the game that Meacham and Scott weren´t present. BG Goettingen is a good team that won 6 of their last seven games. We came into this game not underestimating them”, stressed Marius Nolte. “I think it is important that we as a team focus on what we have to do to win and not on their players”, said Skyliner forward Kimmo Muurinen. Skyliner top scorer Dashaun Wood knows that no matter who is on the court, beating BG Goettingen will never be a cake walk. “BG Goettingen showed in the last game, that despite not having Bailey, that they were still tough. No matter which five guys are on the court, they will always play tough. It is never easy against them”, stressed Dashaun Wood.

Can BG Goettingen Go From 2010 Eurochallenge Spoiler To Deutsche Bank Skyliners 2011 beko BBL Playoff Spoiler?

In the past week playing beko BBl and NBA spoiler has been as common as little kids annoying their parents with the uncomfortable phrase “where is the Easter bunny really”, humans contemplating when a day will go by without seeing has been Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan in the tabloids and her latest sunglasses fashion, or Atlanta, Georgia citizens imagining driving the Lamborghini of Allen Iverson and wondering if the ex NBA star would give them his shiny sports car if the police department doesn´t want it even if he has a collection of ten more rotting away in his garage. In the beko BBL spoilers were on the prowl as The Artland Dragons sent TBB Trier into summer vacation with a heart breaking one point loss or The Deutsche Bank Sklyinersgiving an unforgettable Globetrotter showcase not giving EnBW Ludwigsburg any real chance giving the players an early ticket home to the beaches and cafes of the world as both clubs were ousted on the last game day while in the NBA teams like Portland, Memphis and Indiana aren´t allowing Dallas, san Antonio or Chicago from dragging out the brooms as they have annoyed the favorites with pesky and a ruthless display of basketball. “I am enjoying the NBA playoffs now. The top teams are getting more of a challenge, because the underdog teams are playing with their backs to the wall and giving all that they have. I have no real idea what is going on in the Spurs-Grizzlies series, but I think the injury to Manu Ginobolli is really hurting the Spurs. I think that Dallas-Portland are evenly matched. I think it will be a toss up to who wins this series”, stressed Eisbaeren Bremerhaven guard Tyrone Brazelton. Last season BG Goettingen played spoiler entered the Eurochallenge tournament as a long shot, but plowed through the competition winning the title and letting coach John Patrick taste his first giant success of sweet champagne German style, while this season BG Goettingen want to get back to that spoiler role against The Deutsche Bank Skyliners in the opening round of the 2010-2011 beko BBL playoffs which start on April 30th. Actor George Cloony dying his head red while growing a beard of the same color, Cheyene Woods, the niece of Tiger Woods stealing the spotlight from him just  a bit with her golf or world class designer Karl Lagerfeld taking off his sunglasses for an interview may be very unexpected, but the chances of BG Goettingen winning a 5 game series against Frankfurt should not be unexpected either. Frankfurt demonstrated last year that it can be done as they snuck by second seed  Alba Berlin as the seventh seed 3-1. This time the roles are reversed as Frankfurt is seeded second and BG Goettingen seventh. “I think that anything is possible in this series, but I think that Frankfurt might be a little to strong to handle for BG Goettingen. But  I remember when I was with western kentucky we were the underdog against Drake who were the fifth seed in the NCAA and we pulled off a win, because we had as a team, had better players and good coaching. As a pro playing in Poland for Asseco Prokom in the Euroleague we were evenly matched against Armani Milian, but we came out with the win, because we had more determination from the start and that is exactly what BG Goettingen will need to have to beat Frankfurt and will need someone else to beat them besides Dashaun Wood”, warned Bremerhaven guard Tyrone Brazelton.

The Deutsche Bank Skyliners And Globetrotter Basketball Wipe Out The Playoff Hopes Of EnBW Ludwigsburg 94-79

The 2010-2011 beko BBL season has flown by as rapidly this season like having a two week all expenses paid trip to the Bahamas and Rihanna as a companion, the time since the 90s where the Boston Celtics were fighting to keep their good name as they were struggling under new coach Rick Pitino and he was blasted for saying the infamous word at a press conference that the legend Larry Bird was no more or the last time the Detroit Pistons won the NBA title in 2004. On the last game day there were many do or die games for teams fighting to stay in the league like BBC Bayreuth was hoping for a miracle win in Bamberg, the MBC wolves attempting to trap the pesky unorthodox full court press of BG Goettingen in quick sand in their den or teams trying to secure that last playoff spot like TBB Trier trying to out hustle the Artland Dragons, the Eisbaeren Bremerhaven trying to out freeze Ratiopharm Ulm or EnBW Ludwigsburg hoping for the best Lionel Richie basketball performance by Jerry Green being able to yell the famous Hello track to the 2011 beko BBL playoffs into the glowing and over joyous face of coach Markus Jochum, but instead the German coach was seen sneaking through the Ludwigsburg arena with a emotionless face as if he just witnessed the rebirth of Craig Hodges on the court transformed into the body of Roger Powell as The Deutsche Bank Skyliners ruined a playoff appearance for EnBW Ludwigsburg 94-79 as the Schwaben team missed the post season for the fourth consecutive season and the Hessen team reach a date with BG Goettingen in the playoffs. “The third time is supposed to be a charm, but wasn´t for me. I missed the post season for the third straight year on the last game day. We really believed that we could win this game. However this team had two different faces this year. With the right face, this team had the talent to beat anyone in the league. With the wrong face as we showed tonight, we had no chance to win”, stated 1995 UCLA NCAA champion Toby Bailey. Frankfurt didn´t have their thoughts on the upcoming training camp in Mallorca and played as if it was game one of the playoffs. “I am a bit surprised by the outcome of this game. Ludwigsburg was a little nervous. We played a very good game. This was a good test for us in a playoff like atmosphere”, stressed Skyliner center Marius Nolte.

Can Jerry Green Sing A Little Lionel Richie Hello To The beko BBL Playoffs After 40 Minutes Against The Deutsche Bank Skyliners April 23rd?

Jerry Green gliding through the lane to the hole and humming the Lionel Richie classic tune “Running In The Night, Nate Harris and Paveles Cukinas fighting and hauling down rebounds, Je Kel Foster frustrating opponents on offense and defense for 40 minutes, 34 year old Serb Milan Goljovic parked behind the three point line and dropping bombs while blindfolded or coach Silvano Poropar entertaining with his interviews in broken German are all beautiful memories of the 2006-2007 EnBW Ludwigsburg season were the big surprise team closed out the season in first place and first packing their bags in the semi finals against the Brose Baskets Bamberg who would win the beko BBL title. Since then EnBW Ludwigsburg has been scampering around no mans land in the beko BBL standings like a whimpering and disillusioned turkey seconds before getting slaughtered for Thanksgiving as the club has failed to make the playoffs the last three years. But this season, the chances for EnBW Ludwigsburg to make the playoffs are as great as Chicago Bull Derrick Rose running away with the 2011 NBA MVP trophy, baseball fans never seeing another live towering moon shot home run from Barry Bonds and Suri Cruise never having a normal childhood. Bynum played against EnBW Ludwigsburg in the 2006-2007 with Bremerhaven and hasn´t forgotten how they played. “They were a tough team, they had a great regular season run and surprised a lot of people. They were a great team and had much success”, stressed John Bynum. Bynum knows what the team from the Schwaben land has been going through not reaching the post season for a number of years. “I think it is makes you hungry for the next season but at the same time it is good for any organization to make the playoffs any time you have a span where you havent been in the post season in a while. It can be frustrating cause it seems like all the work that you put in the whole year was for a waste especially when you are so close to making it. But at the same time you can look back and see in what ways you can improve for the next season as well”, added John Bynum. For En BW Ludwigsburg to reach the playoffs, they must win or in the case of a loss can miss the playoffs if Bremerhaven and Trier win and also BG Goettingen. TBB Trier guard John Bynum who will be hoping for a Frankfurt win remembers the 2006-2007 EnBW Ludwigsburg team as a player with Bremerhaven. “They have a great shot at making the playoffs but hopefully they can lose  to help us out”, said John Bynum. But overall they have a good team and deserve to be in as much as the other teams battling for that spot. Four teams are fighting for the last two spots including BG Goettingen, TBB Trier and Bremerhaven and is there any separation in the ability of the teams? “I dont think there is much of a separation from any of the teams you named. I think at this point of the season it is all about who your opponent is and where the game is being played”, commented John Bynum.

The Deutsche Skyliners Secure Second Place Controlling The Telekom Baskets Bonn 78-60 Without Forest Gump, But Steal Marius Nolte Steal

Winning for The Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Bonn the last 6 years has been as difficult as NBA stars Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard refraining from hurling expletives in the direction of refs recently, actress/singer goddess Jennifer Lopez not feeling worthy of being named worlds most beautiful woman by People Magazine or Oscar award winner Robin Williams trying not to look like a combination of the Tom Hanks Castaway character and the Unibomber Ted Kaczynski in his new role in the new Broadway piece “The Bengal Tiger At The Baghdad Zoo”, but in the Ballsporthalle, Frankfurt has achieved solid success since the last win in Bonn(Jan 1, 2005)having a record of 6-3. Despite the non desirable history that has swept before the feet of Frankfurt in Bonn, they seem to have less problems at home as they were able to win their second game in a row against Bonn at home with a convincing 78-60 win securing second place for the 2010-2011 regular season. Frankfurt forgot any past bad misfortune in Bonn as they have had a superb season at home. “We had a great season at home winning 15 games. It is always important to win at home to secure that home court advantage in the playoffs. This was a huge win since we secured second place”, stressed current beko BBL top scorer Dashaun Wood. This was one of those games where an innocent bystander that had been caught at the hot dog stand flirting with a woman and had missed the game  would of had an idea what went wrong just by staring at the post game stats. “We didn´t take care of the ball. We had 20 turnovers and three assists. But you have to give a lot of credit to Frankfurt. They played well and our turnovers hurt us”, stressed Telekom Baskets Bonn forward Jaacob Jaacks. Frankfurt also showed a sign that they were capable of recovering after the bitter loss 48 hours earlier in the Bamberg like atmosphere in Bayreuth. “BBC Bayreuth wanted to win more than us and it was really difficult to play there. However I have to compliment our coaching staff for finding the right words for the Bonn game. They told us to forget the loss in Bayreuth and just focus on Bonn and were able to get our heads free”, stressed Skyliner forward Marius Nolte. ex Skyliner Alex King lost for the second time this season in his old living room and one name was on his mind as has been so often for every other team. “We started well and defended well, but it is always hard to stop Dashaun Wood. Our biggest problem was our turnovers”, stressed Alex King.

It Felt Like Bamberg, But The Deutsche Bank Skyliners were Really 60 Kilometers Away As Danny Gibson Pulled A Dashaun Wood Leading BBC Bayreuth To A 86-79 OT Win

Having to sport a mohawk as actor Jim Carey momentarily does, 196cm shooting guard Robert Varden being sent to the D-league Tulsa 66ers from the Oklahoma Thunder or Paris Hilton having to pick up her cell and call a hair salon herself for an appointment instead of her assistant are unappropiate and some what undesirable things, but nothing compared to the tears and bitterness that club BBC Bayreuth would have to feel if they were to be relegated to the PRO A. The Deutsche Bank Skyliners have not had easy opponents recently facing a depleted, but still defensive fire power in TBB Trier had to face a desperate BBC Bayreuth who with three games to play had a 8-23 record together with The Giessen 46ers and Mitteldeutscher BC. BBC Bayreuth were not going to lay down and play dead like a slightly distraught possum as they came out upsetting the second place Deutsche Bank Skyliners with a hard fought 86-79 win in OT. “I would rather dress up as a woman than have to go down to a lower league with a team. I think it would be embarrassing to have to go down. People judge you how you play and if you go down, you can´t show that you can compete in the first league”, stressed 2011 beko BBL MVP Dashaun Wood. “I would have to agree with Dashaun Wood on dressing up as a woman as something I don´t want to do, but would rather do than have to go down to the second league, but we want to stay in the beko BBL and just wanted it more tonight. We came together as a team and just fought it out”, added 2010 Dutch league top scorer Danny Gibson.

With the loss, The Deutsche Bank Skyliners  were unable to secure the second spot in the standings for the season, because Alba Berlin was able to win in Bremerhaven and only have one loss less with two games to go. BBC Bayreuth on the other hand made a huge jump moving from 17th place to 15th place jumping past The Giessen 46ers who lost at home against TBB Trier and the Mitteldeutscher BC that were defeated at home by The Walter Tigers Tuebingen. BBC Bayreuth have shown their strength at home this seeing compared to on the road winning their 7th game in the friendly Oberfranken Halle in Bayreuth and now can clinch a berth for next season in the beko BBL with a victory in Duesseldorf Sunday. “This was our biggest win of the season, but it only means something if we can win in Duesseldorf on Sunday. This was a huge confidence booster and we need to prove that we can win on the road”, added ex Nordlingen Giant Danny Gibson. It was no secret that BBC Bayreuth might be the most talented 17th placed team ever to play in the beko BBL. “You have to give them a lot of credit. They are fighting to stay in the league and can beat any team on a good night. They deserve to stay in the league. It was a playoff atmosphere and we stayed together. However we were leading by 10 points in the third quarter and we made some bad offensive plays and let them back into the game”, stressed Skyliner point guard Dashaun Wood.

Can BBC Bayreuth Keep Their 2011-2012 Beko BBL Aspirations Alive With A Win Against The Deutsche Bank Skyliners April 15th?

When one is enjoying the beautiful spring weather and feeling a calm mild breeze on your cheeks, one can get into the mood to dream about Beko BBL basketball, but one can´t always think about breathtaking ally-ops from 2011 Mr beko BBL MVP Dashaun Wood to Quantez Robertson, Derrick Allen making another opponent look silly out dancing him with his ballerina moves or following the gracefulness of Casey Jacobsen on the court. Sometimes it is impossible not to think about the negative and when one contemplates the undesirable and unlucky season of BBC Bayreuth this year, it can be as unexplainable as to why Baseball crazed Puerto Rico which gave the world legends like Roberto Clemente, Orlando Cepeda or Roberto Alomar are worrying more if guys like Carlos Degado, Felipe Lopez or Jose Molina will have MLB jobs this summer than their own national unemployment problem, the Houston Texans starting games so slowly and then not being surprised that another attempt at the post season goes down the drain like a bottle of sour milk does or a penny going down the drain to hear the chime, why Buffalo sports teams Bills and Sabers are unable to bring a championship home or to why race car legend Mario Andretti was plagued with not winning a second Indianapolis 500 after the year 1969?. BBC Bayreuth had the talent on paper to be a potential playoff team, but instead got more used to losing on a consistent rate then Americans being asked if they knew who Richard Wagner was? The riddle as to why BBC Bayreuth is near the cellar of the beko BBL standings is about as ridiculous as why Bayern Munich isn´t at the top of the German soccer Bundesliga with the roster that they have. “I would have to say that is just bad luck, I am not sure I could compare it to something like what is happening with Buffalo teams, but they just havent been able to put it together, but they still have a chance to hold the league so its not that bad”, stressed TBB Trier guard John Bynum. Losing is something that no professional athlete strives for, but it is something that is always tough and something  a player needs to deal with. “No, I cant ever remember being on a losing team ever in my career but I can say it does suck to lose and it is a tough habit to break and something you should never get used to doing. I think the best way to deal with it is just to try and stick together and find a way to look at the positives which come out of the situation”, warned John Bynum.

TBB Trier Lead After 10 Rounds, But The Deutsche Bank Skyliners Win The Heavyweight Bout With 69-61 Knock Out

After the more than satisfying 92-53 romp against Phoenix Hagen 48 hours earlier, The Deutsche Bank Skyliners had to be more than awake against TBB Trier as their continued goal of reaching the playoffs was not sweetened by the 80-61 loss in Bamberg 48 hours earlier. Frankfurt had to be more than ready for TBB Trier, because since Phoenix ´Hagen sit back mostly on defense, sipping Margaritas, watching spectacular offense unfold and prepare their next offense in their mind, TBB Trier on the other hand play defense for a passion and just wear down the opponents offense with continued stress play. Frankfurt couldn´t afford their minds slip for an instant second on offense possibly contemplating if golf and betting could ever mesh with golf legend Tiger Woods, if the valet parker in Miami beach can be serious for being to traumatized to continue back to work after being slapped by the mom of Lebron James or wonder when the one man horror show tour of actor Charlie Sheen will ever end. The Deutsche Bank Skyliners had problems converting against TBB Trier on a consistent rate, but had the better nerves, defense and a 10-0 run in crunch time to win 69-61. “We knew that the weekend games were two different kinds of games with Phoenix Hagen having a high power offense and TBB Trier having a high power defense. We had to be able to switch our mentality within one day. We were able to lock down our defense in the second half and grind out the win”, stated current beko BBL top scorer Dashaun Wood. TBB Trier also showed Frankfurt that they weren´t a second Phoenix Hagen. “Every team has to adjust to situations like this. Our players are pro´s. Phoenix Hagen were playing for nothing an dgave up on defense while TBB Trier gave everything to win the game, because they are still fighting to reach playoffs”, stressed Skyliner sports director Kamil Novak. “I think that Frankfurt needed some time to adjust to our defense, but they showed in the second half that they are in second place for a reason. I thought that we did a good job in the half court defense not letting Frankfurt get easy baskets”, stated TBB Trier guard John Bynum. It was a big adjustment for us. TBB Trier was very physical and we were a little surprised how different the defenses of Phoenix Hagen and TBB Trier were”, added Skyliner forward Kimmo Muurinen.

The Deutsche Bank Skyliners Give The Fans A Scrumptious Portion Of NBA Jam Whipping Phoenix Hagen 92-53

Last week at the beko BBL Top 4 in Bamberg, people were as confident for a Frankfurt-Bamberg final as many feel Chicago Bull guard Derrick Rose will be 2011 NBA MVP, as actor Charlie Sheen is going totally beserk since his gig in Detriot and Perez Hilton is giving the juiciest gossip in Hollywood, but instead The Deutsche Bank Skyliners left the Bavarian city in fourth place and a lot of people wondering how that was ever possible. It was extremely obvious, that Skyliner skipper Gordon Herbert would not endure another performance like that again against Phoenix Hagen as The Deutsche Bank Skyliners returned with clenched fists and a mouth watering hunger for the opponent like German Formula one driver Sebastian Vettel has for defending his title, actor Jeremy Renior giving his all in the new Bourne movie as a whole new type of hero and kid hero Justin Bieber wanting to serenade his mother with a birthday cake, but mistakingly setting her hair on fire as the Frankfurt team blew away Phoenix Hagen 93-53. “We had the right attitude tonight. We had been thinking all week about the Braunschweig cup loss. We showed that we wanted to win very badly with our performance. Our defense kept their offense in check from the second quarter until the end. We did very much right today and I am very happy about that”, stressed Skyliner center Marius Nolte. Phoenix Hagen knew that Frankfurt would come out motivated, but had no answers on offense or defense. “Frankfurt had a chip on their shoulder. They came out and just handled us and wanted to boost their confidence. We had energy before the game, but as the game started we showed nothing as nobody did anything. Frankfurt exposed all part of our game”, stressed an unhappy Jacob Burtschi. “We were very focused this week. We showed tonight that we learned from our mistakes in Bamberg. We knew that with Hagen being a very good offensive team, that it would be a good test for us. We knew this game would be a good chance to show our Skyliner basketball and we did”, warned Skyliner guard Dashaun Wood. “We could have lost by 50 points. Nothing happened in this game for us. It was a catastrophe on offense and defense. Frankfurt came back form their poor showing in Bamberg and continue to keep second place”, added Bernd Kruel.
