Thanks Timajh for talking to German Hoops. Congrats on the big 75-64 win against the Fraport Skyliners Juniors. How did it feel playing your first professional playoff game?
Thank you and it was a great experience looking forward to many more .
The Pro B playoff game between the Fraport Skyliners Juniors and Lok Bernau was played in the giant Mercedes arena in Berlin. What did you enjoy most about playing in this state of the art arena?
I’ve been to many Alba games this year so go play on the court was extremely exciting I had a good time .
You played in many nice arenas in the NCAA with Towson, but where did the Berlin arena rank with your all-time nicest?
I would say Mercedes Bens was top five .
Lok Bernau played a solid game winning every quarter and played consistent defense for 40 minutes. What do you feel was the biggest asset on defense in game one for keeping Frankfurt at bay?
That has been our game plan most of the season . You know what they say defense wins championships , so we have definitely been keying in on the defensive end
A big problem for the Fraport Skyliners Juniors was there 22 turnovers which allowed Lok Bernau to have 12 extra possessions. Frankfurt was especially careless with the ball in the second half as Lok Bernau raised their defense a little more. How key was the pressure from Lok Bernau in the second half?
It was a major key to our success being aggressive on defense is something we have emphasized throughout the season
In the last interview you said Lok Bernau hasn´t peaked yet and will show that in the playoffs. Do you feel as this team is capable of raising it´s game in each new game in the playoffs?
Yes I do think we are capable . Even in the last win it was not a perfect game on our part what so ever
Pierre Bland had a huge game, but that is expected, but also solid contribution form Germans like Ferdinand Zylka and Tim Schneider is also nothing new, but how proud are you of these two guys? Will the playoffs continue to enhance their development?
They’re great young talents and have been helping the team all season
You were the second most effective player on your team as you picked your spots, had exceptional shot selection and played great defense. How do you feel as your overall basketball IQ grown in your rookie year?
The change in play has helped me with my decision making and all around IQ I try to make winning plays for my team
German Isaac Bonga was close to his second triple double in a row. What was your impression of the possible future NBA pick and to what NBA player would you compare him to?
He was solid tall guard good decision maker however I don´t know if I could compare him to anyone in the league
Lok Bernau can wrap up the series Saturday in Frankfurt. The Fraport Skyliners should suit up with 2-3 BBL players more. How will Lok Bernau adjust to this possible situation?
We won’t adjust we will play our game anyone who decides to step in those lines has to play against us and it won’t be easy for them
Have you filled out your 2017 NCAA bracket? What dark horses do you see and who will make the NCAA final 4?
I have not but I have many friends in the tournament and wish them all the best of luck . I’m going to go with Duke winning it all final 4 Duke Villinova Kansas and Kentucky
What was the last movie that you saw?
Fifty shades darker
Thanks Timajh for the chat.
