Brandon congrats on the 95-92 win against your ex team Nordlingen. Did this game have any meaning for you since most guys were gone from last season?

Danke Miles! It was a special game since I played for the Giants last season. Since most of the guys from last year are also playing for new teams, I was able to approach it like it was just another team in the league.

This game was tight all throughout. When you compare this year´s team with last seasons team, do you feel like you and last seasons team would have won?

That is tough to say because last year in Nordlingen at this point we were just really starting to find our groove. So I don’t know what would happen if the two teams matched up.

Elchlingen isn´t far away from Nordlingen, but how is it different for you living there and enjoying life in your second season in Germany?

Since it’s my second season in Germany, adjusting to life here was not difficult. Being in the same area pretty much also helped to make things easier. Life is good.

The game continued to be tight, but Nordlingen gained a 6 point lead half way through the fourth quarter, but the ScanPlus Baskets came back. You were the deciding factor at the end getting a bucket for the lead and sealing the win with free throws. Was it one of those games where you really picked your spots very well on offense?

I always just try and help my team in whatever way possible. Other players were playing well so it made it easier for me to pick my spots to attack because they were more focused on them.

The ScanPlus Baskets have many scoring options, but did you feel the need to have to take over in the last minute?

With the high number of scoring options we have, I don’t think any of us ever feel the need to. In the next game that is close, someone else could be the one to close the game for us. It makes it tougher on the opponent when they have to try and key in on everyone on the court.

Do you feel at times more comfortable in crunch-time with the ScanPlus Baskets, because you have more options to run the offense than last season with Nordlingen?

I love close games! So my level of comfort here is the same as it was last season in Nordlingen.

You currently have a 4 game winning streak and sitting a top the Pro B south with PS Karlsruhe with a 9-2 record. Are you content with the start of the team?

Of course 11-0 would be better, but 9-2 is not a bad place to be with the second half of the season starting this weekend.

One of the two losses came at the hands of PS Karlsruhe 90-64. How excited are you for the rematch in the second half of the season and do you feel that you will be able to heighten your game as a team?

Hopefully the rematch will be a better played game for us. I believe we will be able to put forth a good effort when they visit Elchingen. They protected their home court and now we must do the same.

The team is ranked first in points at 90, but 22nd in defense letting up 96 on average. That is a risky way to live on the basketball court. Why can´t the team defend better for 40 minutes?

It is extremely risky to give up such a high number of points nightly. That puts a ton of pressure on ourselves to be great on offense nightly. I believe we can defend better, we just have too many mental breakdowns throughout the game.

How much of a pleasure has it been playing with American Taevaunn Prince who put up monster stats at Misouri SO where your ex teammate Jordan Talbert played. Is Prince still getting warmed up in the Pro B?

Playing with Prince has been good so far. He has the ability to get a bucket whenever your team needs one. So it’s always nice to have someone like that on your team.

You’re having a very solid season averaging seven assists a game. Are you happy with that with the many scoring options or do you feel like you could get it up to 8-9 assists per game?

It would be nice to get it closer to 10 with the number of scorers I have around me. Maybe that can happen in the second half of the season. But the most important thing is that we continue to grow as a team and win games.

Do you feel like you could get your TO rate below three this season. How much do you hate those hands in passing lanes when you create?

I believe I can. Averaging 3+ turnovers is too much and not acceptable.

The talk is usually about Lebron or Steph Curry, but one has to mention that Russell Westbrook is averaging triple double stats with points, rebounds and assists. Where do you rate him at the moment just with sheer stats and how he is doing it form the point guard position?

I believe Russ is a top 5 player in the world! The argument can be made for him being the top PG in the league also. He definitely has the numbers to back it up.

What do you feel will be the journey of the Golden State Warriors this season? Will they be able to win the title again and with 65 plus games?

I believe they have a greater chance at winning 65+ games than winning another title. Getting out of the west during the playoffs is no easy task.

What was the last movie that you saw?

Donnie Darko

Thanks Brandon for the chat.
