Jordan congrats on the huge 70-66 win on the road in Nurnberg. How good is basketball life for you at the moment?
I’m enjoying it. Great location with a really well supported club.
After a seemingly easy 78-53 victory at home against Trier on Friday, you came back as team 48 hours later and won again. What was key for the club being ready mentally for another basketball task at hand 48 hours later?
We did a good job to regroup. Coach got us refocused and we executed the game plan well.
The team was seriously handicapped without guards Brian Sullivan and Til Joscha Joenke and forward Paul Albrecht. How valuable was the individual sacrifice of each player to do their part and give extra to compensate for three valuable loses?
We can’t fully cover what each of those guys bring to our team, but we all stepped up in order to do what has been necessary to compete to win games.
The game remained tight for the first three quarters. How good was the team feeling energy wise going into the fourth quarter?
We were good, we had great urgency to start the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Hebeisen White Wings were down by 11 points. What gave the team the strength to rally and pull out the win in a hostile environment?
Coach challenged us to keep cutting into the lead, and once we grabbed some momentum early in the quarter we kept it going.
The work horse Kruize Pinkins had another stellar game and normal day at the office with 24 points and 11 rebounds in 28 minutes. How vital was his production in a game like this?
It was great, he rebounded the ball well especially late in the fourth.
You also stepped it up with 13 points and 10 rebounds. You have been getting a lot of minutes this season, but did this win and extended type of role give you added self-confidence?
It helps, I was just glad we got the win.
Last weekend you suffered a tough 82-79 loss in Ehingen. You had a tough week of travel visiting your sick dad in the states. Was it tough concentrating in Ehingen?
It was good to be with him, really difficult being away from family when someone is sick like he is. Once I was in the flow of the game I was okay.
Once again the team was shorthanded, but as always fought until the end. I guess you wont forget the name Alasdair Fraser?
Yeah, they shot the ball well.
Was it two defensive breakdowns at the end that cost you the game?
You have to give them some credit. They made some tough shots throughout the game.
The club has been defending very well this season as one can see that it is a main focus of head coach Simon Cote, but how has the defense improved within this four game winning streak?
It has been absolutely the key to our success. Our attention to detail has been good.
How difficult is it to hold consistency in a winning streak and is the team chemistry continuing to grow even in times of injuries?
We are not concerned with winning streaks. It helps because we have to rely on each other more.
How vital has head coach Simon Cote been for the early season success? How has his intense game preparation benefited the team?
The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit. They put us in a great position. It is just a matter of us executing their game plan.
Your averaging three minutes more than last season with Kirchheim, but still putting up pretty much the same stats. How is your role different this season with Hanau?
It hasn’t been a lot different, just try to bring great energy to our team
How refreshing has it been playing with a beast like Kruize Pinkins this season? How does your game profit from his?
It has been good, he is a guy teams really struggle with and we are going to continue to run our offense through him in the post.
What is your goal this season with the Hebeisen White Wings Hanau as you continue to mature as a professional player?
My goal is to continue grow and compete at a high level in this league.
How would you classify your relationship with head coach Simon Cote and how has he helped your game this season?
We have a great relationship. He has helped my process through film, my understanding of the game and where I can help this team.
If you had to construct your own NBA Rushmore which 4 heads would you chose?
MJ, Magic, Kareem, Lebron
Lebron finally brought an NBA title to the Cavs. Where does he stand right now in the debate with being the best ever?
He’s already in my top four but not ahead of any of those guys yet.
Where does Kevin Garnett stand in the all-time ranking with the best power forwards that ever played the game?
I would say he is fourth on the list.
What was the last movie that you saw?
Central Intelligence
Thanks Jordan for the chat.
