Davon thanks for talking to eurobasket.com.German Hoopsd then you came on board and now the team is 3-0 with your services. Have you been the team´s new good luck charm?

Lol Good luck charm? We just been working hard and its starting to show but we have a long way to go so we need to keep up the good work.

Do you feel like you have been able to give the team some need kind of fresh breath of air that the team didn´t have before?

I  am just coming in trying to be do whatever it is the coach asks of me.

FC Schalke had the 37-35 lead at the break. Why wasn´t any team able to break away from the other in the first half?

We were getting good stops but couldn’t close the position with a rebound which kept giving Schalke multiple opportunities for 2nd chance baskets.

How devastating was the Bochum 7-0 run at the end of the third quarter? Bochum had the momentum in the fourth quarter and what was key in the fourth quarter for getting the win?

The 7-0 run was huge for us to end the 3rd. We just had to come out in the 4th and keep fighting in every possession in order to get this tough win against a great Schalke team.

Bochum didn´t shoot that much better than FC Schalke and they dominated the boards, but were the seven extra possessions of the opponent one of the main keys for them getting the win?

We all know how huge possessionscan be in a game of basketball. So every position mattered and was key to the win.

You had 17 points in 19 minutes, but had five fouls. What annoyed you most about your game against FC Schalke?

Nothing annoyed me other than missing a few easy shots close to the basket. My aggressive style of play makes it tough when the refs are calling the game a certain way I need to learn how to adjust and to control my emotions.

How key was German Alex Angerer who led the team with 19 points. What do you appreciate most about his game?

Alex is a big part to our team. I think what I appreciate most is the energy he brings to the court. If he keeps that up and continues to work on his basketball skills the sky is the limit for him.

Bochum has improved their scoring and points allowed in the last three games. What has been the secret of the overall improvement of the team?

I think with more and more practice we will keep improving in these two areas. We are tough and compete every day in practice which makes game days a little easier for us.

Bochum is also the best defensive team in the Pro B allowing 68 points per game. Are players taking more pride in their defensive assignments?

Again this comes with the competitive nature we bring to practice which transfers into the game. It is important we communicate and hold everybody accountable on defense. You can’t control putting the ball through the hoop but you can always control your effort on defense.

Bochum has five guys scoring in double figures. Is consistency something the team will be able to hold?

Yes our roster is full of guys top to bottom who are capable of scoring double figures in any given game. It is important it stays this way throughout the entire season in order to be successful.

Did you feel a lot of pressure coming in and having to replace the injured Ryon Howard?

Not a lot of pressure I just enjoy the challenge. Ryan as we all know is a great player and has been a key player for Bochum for years. I pray that he has a speedy recovery so he can get back on the floor.

You have come to Bochum and had two very strong games. What has made your new basketball home so comfortable for you to do what you love most play basketball?

Playing with some familiar faces helps a lot and with my age and experience it can make a transition a little bit easier. I played with or against a lot of the guys on the team. So I am just coming in and trying to do whatever it is the team needs me to do.

What kind of role do you exactly have and besides winning what are your personal goals as a player this season?

Besides winning a personal goal when I got injured last year was to come back from a tough injury. It wasn’t an easy year for me at all and I think some people even counting me out but God is good. Allowed me to rehab and stay focused to come back and play the game that I love.

Has your self-confidence risen in the past games that will allow you to be able to score in double figures and be dominant on the boards?

Self confidence and the confidence my teammates give me during the games. We share the ball well and if we keep doing that I think everyone will become successful.

Kevin Garnett has retired. Where does he rank in the list of the all-time best power forwards of all-time in t6he NBA?

For me he is 2nd I mean I love the energy he brings to the game and he was fun to watch but ever since high school my mom told me I remind her of Tim Duncan me not knowing she even knew who Tim Duncan was or yet alone his style of play I started to watch him play more and more and he became my favorite PF. So Thanks mom !!!

What was the last movie that you saw?

The Hangover 3.

Thanks Davon for the chat.
