How is the mood in the team of MBC after the Frankfurt loss? I guess the best news is that BBC Bayreuth also lost?
Mood is not the greatest because I would have loved to win, but my mood is not the worst.
Do you think that the fight between MBC and BBC Bayreuth could go down to last game day?
I can’t predict what will happen with Bayrueth because my main focus is on us.
Have you met new team consultant Hendrik Dettmann? How much influence will he have on coaching decisions?
Yeah, I just met him a couple of days ago. I definitely like him and I think that will have a good influence for the team considering the good connection that he and the head coach Anton have.
Is there any team besides Bamberg that will be able to win this cup or are you pretty sure that they will win it?
Yeah, I think the other teams definitely have a chance to win it as well, but the odds are just so high with Bamberg winning it. But they have to earn it though, I don’t think any of them teams are just going to just give it to them.
The New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig have lost the last 11 games against Frankfurt. Do you think that a 12th time could be like that third charm for them?
I don’t know. It just depends how much they want it. Whether its the 12th or 35th only they can change it. I’m not much of the superstitious type so anything can happen.
How much will the loss of Tony Skinn hurt Braunschweig? How will they compensate this loss?
I think it makes a difference with him being gone, but Braunschweig definitely has the personal to make the transition and still be successful.
The Artland Dragons lost two close games against Bamberg this season. What will be the best way to make a huge dent in the Bamberg defense?
Like old coach Bob Knight always told me, victory always favors the team with the fewest mistakes.
What will be the key matchup in the Bamberg-Artland game and why?
I would love to give a match up, but Bamberg is a very team oriented and anybody can play huge for them any given night. Artland has a good team as well, but Rice will definitely have a huge impact on the games outcome.
What is your pick for UCONN-Kentucky and why?
UConn + Kemba Walker = Finals that is all you need to know. lol
What is your pick for VCU-Butler and why?
Butler for sure. I just thought they would go all the away after they messed up my bracket, but I don’t think they will win it all.
Thanks Ron for the chat.
