Your back in Hagen for your third season. What makes Hagen so special that makes you want to keep playing there?
I actually signed a two year deal with Hagen the year we made to the BBL. I like the location being around 4 of the major cities in Germany. And basketball is the main sport here.
Phoenix Hagen got rid of many players and have added many new players. What is your impression so far of the club?
I really like our team. Everyone is hungry and willing to learn and play together.
Is Phoenix Hagen stronger on paper and on the court this season?
We added some interesting pieces this season. I think that we are a stronger team on the court and paper.
How was training camp been for you? Is coach Ingo Freyer doing anything different this season in his approach to the style of play or will we continue to see run and gun play?
Training camp is training camp. It is tough regardless but it was good for our team with everyone being new. I think everyone will be surprised at our style of play this season. We still want to get up and down though
Will Phoenix Hagen be able to make many surprises this season against stronger teams?
I think we will surprise some teams this season. It will not be like last season.
You have shown your scoring qualities in preseason. Do you think that you can be more of a scoring option this season?
I’ve always had those qualities but last year it took me awhile to get fit from my surgery. I am 100% now and my body is feeling good. Whatever the team needs from me.
Is this the season where Malte Schwarz could make his breakthrough as a player? What do you like most about his game?
I think Malte will have a breakout year. He will get more time this season. He has a very good midrange game.
How do you see the BEKO BBL in 2010-2011? Will the league be as tight as last season and have you been impressed by the new players coming into the league?
I think the league will be very competitive again from top to bottom. Its not very many games on the schedule were you can say that a win. I haven’t been able to keep up with the other team due to my “internet” (USB stick).
Can Kevin Durant ever make the step to being like a Kobe Bryant and Lebron James n the NBA?
I think he already has. He can score, rebound, and now he is defending. The sky is the limit for him. He’s just getting started.
What was the last DVD movie that you saw?
I watched American Gangster
Thanks Quentin for the chat. Good luck this season.
