You have been in Nürnberg a few months now. How have you adjusted to your new home? What do you like most about Nurnberg?

I really like Nürnberg, its a great city with great history. I run into a lot of Americans here because of the closeness in proximity to the US Army bases. I just like the fact that there is something to do most of the time.

Congrats on winning player of the month award in the ProB. Your averaging 20,1ppg, 3,0rpg and 4,9apg. What does this award mean to you?

Its an honor to win the award and I thank the people who nominated me for this, but I would like to thank my teammates and coaches because without them it would not have been possible.

Does winning this award put any extra pressure on you to keep performing the way you have or even performing better?

No Pressure! I am just going to go out and try to do what I have been doing, and thats working hard everyday. I am not really big on stats and rarely look at them after games.

Having played in higher levels in Europe, what is it like playing in the ProB? I can´t imagine that you dont think about what you are missing playing in the other higher leagues?

You know, it is what it is. Every team I have been on I have had good performances and carried myself in a professional manner, and in Nurnberg that wont change regardless of the level I am at, I am grateful for the opportunity and I am going to try and make the best of it.

How closely do you follow MBC? They are doing a good job.

I have followed them and they are doing a good job. I wish my ex-teammates Johnnie, Wayne and Sasha all the best…..we were a TEAM and they know I am rooting for them to do well, and they know where to find me if they ever need anything.

Do you still keep in touch with Wayne Bernard? I am sure you and him would of made a sweet backcourt with MBC this season?

Yeah I keep in contact with him, we have talked. But I keep in contact with a lot of my Ex Teammates. Yeah I think it would have been nice to play with Wayne again, but it was’nt in the cards for me. I know we would have done a good job, but he is doing good. Wayne is a cool guy, he will be alright!!

Nurnberg has a potent back court with you and young German Bastian Doreth. What is it like playing with him?

Basti is young and still learning the game but he competes very hard and gives everything. He is also a cool guy off the floor. You cant ask for more from a teammate.

He was sick for a while and is slowly getting back into his rhythm. How have you been helping him get back to his form on and off the court?

Well I just tell him to be Aggressive, and not to hesitate but trust his abilities. I think he is starting to do that. As a “profi” We work hard everyday so there is no need to be passive and not trust your ability.

What makes Bastian Doreth such a good player? How can he still grow as a player?

I think we honestly have a couple good young players, but Basti wants to be good and play at a high level. He doesnt like to lose just like me and I think its good for both of us to play together. Competitiveness with hard work will take him along way. As in any young player reading situations will always be an area they can work on. I try to talk to him and explain certain situations in which I feel he could have done something different , but for the most part he is doing a good job.

Is he a guy that could play in the German National team in the future?

Yes. I think if he continues to develop and be confident in his abilities. I dont see why not.

NBC have a record of 7-4 in 6th place. Has the team reached their potential yet?

We have not at all. We lost two games by 1 point and one game by 4 so thats 3 losses by 6 points total. So we still have some work to do. But we are all new to each other for the most part and that mixed with a coaching change and coach trying to figure rotations and everything else out has not helped keep us in the top of the league but it has not hurt us tremendously either. I believe we will continue to get better and we will see what happens.

What can the team still improve on?

I think since we are a very very young team we can still improve on reading situations and punishing teams for their mistakes.

Will we be seeing anymore player of the month awards from you?

I hope so, because that means we are playing good basketball. I dont know if you can win twice but would be nice!!

At this stage of your career and playing for NBC in the PRO B, what are your biggest goals? I can imagine winning could be your biggest thought?

That is always my only goal. WINNING…..I have never been and never will see myself as a loser. So forget ProA, ProB, BBL. I am where I am at and I am trying to help my team and organization be successful.

Where will you be celebrating Christmas? Do you guys get a break?

I will be in Nurnberg with my family coming to visit. We get a short break but I told coach that I really dont want one so I have scheduled times in which I can go into the gym and get some work done.

What do you love most about the holiday season?

I love being with family and friends, just the feeling and the anticipation of it. People seem to be a bit more happy during this time and I like that. Life is short and the time you spend with family and friends must be cherished cause nobody is promised anything.

Will The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts possibly go undefeated in the regular season or possibly the whole season undefeated which the New England Patriots almost did two seasons ago?

It looks that way, but you never know. What New England did a couple years ago was amazing. Will be tough for them both. They have to play well and of course have a little luck.

What was the last DVD that you saw?

Orphan..it was crazy!! Thanks again Miles and Happy Holidays to you and yours!!
